Along with working as an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist in Weybridge and Chertsey, Surrey, I am also an experienced supervisor and trainer. Owning a PR business for 15 years, as well as being a contractor and employee, has given me the specialist knowledge required for the successful implementation of wellbeing practices in the corporate sector. Whether I am working with professional organisations or fellow practitioners, my central aim is to improve overall mental wellbeing and ensure the best possible form of support is being delivered at all times. If you would like more information on how I deliver supervision and training in Surrey and online, keep reading or feel free to get in touch and ask any questions you might have.
I head a supervision team for The Eikon Charity, a team of four supervisors who support the Youth Work Team to provide a high quality of service within schools in Surrey and the wider community. We also work with managers and fellow practitioners within the charity. The purpose of this service is for professionals to offer an account of their work, reflect on it, receive feedback, and be provided with guidance that helps them to give the best possible service to their clients, gaining greater ethical competence and confidence in the process.
My service is delivered to individuals and groups from my counselling premises in Chertsey, as well as online, and draws on Hawkins and Shohet’s 7-Eyed Process Model of Counselling Supervision. Having worked with so many theoretical frameworks in the past, I place strong emphasis on exploring other ways of delivering therapy and encourage practitioners to adopt a more intersectional, affirmative, non-discriminatory approach that appreciates different backgrounds and orientations.
My training service entails working for ComPsych, a US EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) provider that delivers training within a wide range of corporate companies. I give presentations on a series of topics, including Stress Management, Mindfulness, and Building Mental Fitness for greater Brain Power. This can involve webinars to large groups or more specific training to individuals, always taking care to provide a form of specialist support that suits the precise needs of that organisation.
